Nominate a special person for the Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence ...

State Member for Bundoora Mr Colin Brooks is urging local residents to submit nominations for Victoria’s Multicultural Awards for Excellence.

 

Victorian Premier Mr John Brumby said the awards program recognises and rewards the efforts of individuals and organisations that promote the social, economic and cultural benefits of Victoria’s multicultural community.

 

“Each year the Awards for Excellence provide an opportunity to honour those outstanding individuals and organisations across Victoria who make a positive impact within their local community,” Mr Brumby said.

 

Mr Brumby urges everyone in the community to nominate an exceptional individual or organisations who have shown their passion and commitment to promoting cultural diversity and harmony in their chosen fields.”

 

The nine categories for each award are:

  • Award for Meritorious Service in the Community
  • Premier’s Award for Community Harmony
  • Business Corporate Award.
  • Service Delivery to Multicultural Victoria Award.
  • Police and Community Multicultural Advisory Committee Awards
  • Ambassador Award
  • Media Award
  • Education Award
  • Local Government Award
