Safe Sanctuary Garden for Kingsbury Primary School

NEW SAFE SANCTUARY GARDEN FOR KINGSBURY PRIMARY SCHOOL

Kingsbury Primary School students are enjoying a new Safe Sanctuary Garden thanks to the Andrews Labor Government’s $20 million Inclusive School’s Fund.

Kingsbury Primary School received $65,000 from the fund to upgrade facilities to support students with disabilities to better participate and engage with learning at their school.

Colin Brooks visited Kingsbury Primary School in February this year to announce the funding and to discuss how the project would benefit students, and today officially opened the new facility with school parents, staff and children.

The Labor Government established the Inclusive Schools Fund to help government schools build new facilities to better support the social and educational needs of children with a disability.

Last year 33 schools received funding for upgrades under the program, with applications for the second round of funding now open.

The Andrews Labor Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.

There are now 42 new government schools and hundreds of school upgrades in the construction pipeline following the Labor Government’s record $1.8 billion investment in school infrastructure.

This school building boom will create 4000 construction jobs and ensure all Victorian families have access to a great school no matter where they live.
