Pat Cronin Foundation – walk to the Valley 2017

Many people have heard the story of Pat Cronin, a local boy who was punched from behind whilst assisting a mate at a local bar. A few days later, Pat’s family made theĀ agonising decision to turn off his life support system. The Pat Cronin foundation has been established to honour Pat’s life and raise awareness of the devastating impacts of ‘one-punch’ attacks.

The Foundation have organised an event ‘Walk to the Valley’ on Sunday 19 November. The walk will begin at 10am from Heidelberg Cricket Ground and finish at Lower Plenty Football Ground. There will be food and entertainment at the end of the walk at Lower Plenty Football Ground. Dysons Buses will also be offering a shuttle between the two grounds.

Cost is $25 (kids under 12 free). Register for the walk atĀ mycause.com.au/events/walktothevalley2017.

I urge you to join us to help raise funds and highlight the foundation’s work. It’s not a difficult walk and the whole family is welcome.
