Maintenance Funding for Greensborough Primary School

On Monday 24 October 2016, Colin Brooks dropped in to Greensborough Primary School to hand out certificates to students who had successfully completed the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge.

He also used the opportunity to announce maintenance funding from the Andrews Labor Government of $196,000. The money will be used for a range of maintenance projects, including replacing window frames, repainting the interior of the school and replacing flooring.

The funding is part of a boost of more than $40 million for school maintenance across the state which will give students at more than 400 schools access to better classrooms and facilities.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.

There are now 42 new government schools and hundreds of school upgrades in the construction pipeline following the Government’s record $1.8 billion investment in school infrastructure.

This school building boom will create 4000 construction jobs and ensure all Victorian families have access to a great school no matter where they live.
